The TP-Link Archer GE800 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 gaming router designed for high-speed multi-gigabit home networks. It delivers up to 19 Gbps of total wireless bandwidth and features customizable RGB lighting.

Status Lights

The status indicator lights on the TP-Link Archer GE800 gaming router use specific colors and flashing patterns to show the current operational and connection state.

  • Pulsing / Alternating Red & Blue: The router is starting up, resetting to factory defaults, or upgrading its firmware.

  • Cycling Graphics / Normal Display: The router works fine, has an internet connection, and is ready or displaying custom Tether app information.

  • Blinking Red: There is no internet connection detected.

  • Blinking Orange: The Wi-Fi function is turned off.

  • Blinking Yellow: The Wi-Fi is turned off and there is no internet connection.

  • Blinking Blue: The router is establishing a WPS connection or performing specific updates. A firmware update is in progress.

Managing the Lights

You can cycle through different built-in RGB effects (such as Rainbow, Fire, Wave, Comet, Ripple, Spectrum, and Loop) by pressing and holding the dedicated physical lighting button located on the front of the router.

If you want to disable the status or indicator blinking behavior, you can adjust settings through the TP-Link Tether App or by logging into the web management page under Advanced > System > LED Control.
