Step 5: Set your eero's location

Set a location name for your eero so you can recognize it on the network. You can select from the available options or set a custom location.

Step 6: Create your wifi network

Give your network a wifi name and password. You can use your existing wifi name and password to have all your connected devices automatically join your new eero network.

Once your network name and password are entered, registration will complete and your network will be online. You can tap Finish Setup to complete the process and return to the app, or tap Add another eero to add more eeros to the network.

Final Step: Connect devices to your network

Once you have set up your network and added any additional eeros, you can start connecting your devices.

If you used the same wifi name and password as your previous router, many devices may connect to the new network automatically. If a device doesn't automatically connect, you can toggle wifi off and then on again to reconnect it, or reboot the device.

eero Placement Tips

Avoid physical barriers and materials such as metals, concrete & brick, glass & mirrors and water. Wi-Fi uses radio waves that are absorbed, reflected, or blocked by dense objects.

Minimize electronic and wireless interference within close proximity of your eero such as microwave ovens, bluetooth devices, baby monitors and security cameras. Devices that emit electromagnetic waves can disrupt your network's radio frequencies.

Be aware and mindful of network congestion and distance from your eero. Examples of which are: your neighbor's networks, distance & proximity, frequency bands and the number of devices connecting to your eero.
